Inventory / Warehouse Specialist
Inova is in search of a hands-on, detail-oriented Inventory / Warehouse Specialist to join our growing company. Position can start ASAP. Our business is fast paced and requires someone who can multitask and is comfortable with modern day online technology and software programs. This position is a full-time, 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, on the factory floor. Opportunities for Overtime exist. Responsibilities:
-Manage Inventory; including raw materials, hardware, metal, electrical, upholstery, finishing, foam, finished goods such as E-Store items for sale, etc. Keep track of Attic Stock and/or parts that are stored for longer term.
-Work closely with the Receiver to manage incoming inventory. The Receiver/Shipper receives in materials as they arrive, checks packing slips, verifies qty and description, submits packing slips to accounting. This role helps to labels parts with part # and job # (when applicable), and puts materials away in their appropriate places.
-Vendor Defects; manage defective materials, either send them out to be fixed, or scrapped, work with Purchaser through this process, to make sure we receive the correct credits from our vendors, etc.
-Manage materials being returned to Inventory from the factory floor. Ensure materials go back where they belong so they can be used in the future.
-Use Kanban cards to prevent running out of commonly used items
-Label, organize, and sort materials
-Be the liaison between the factory floor/those requesting more materials & the purchaser, by double checking inventory and making sure we use what is in house before buying more.
-Practice lean principles and 5S to keep inventory areas clean and running smoothly.
-Assist the Materials Manager as needed
-Taking physical Inventory counts at the end of every month
-Always keep in mind that Inventory is an 8 Deadly Waste and has to be well managed to ensure we are not wasting time, money, energy.
Education/Experience:
· Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment & be a team player
· Forklift experience, loading & unloading tractor trailers, supplying inventory shelves, etc.
· Very well organized and detail oriented. Be able to sort, label, organize, straighten in the inventory areas.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Great with numbers
