  • Position Summary:

    The EHS Systems and Data Manager will act as a subject matter expert on system analytics and EHS Standards. Maintains data integrity within the AWP-designated EHS Database System and is able to create and analyze data to support requests from leadership. Prepares monthly/quarterly/year-end reporting for multiple business streams and maintains a Company Safety Data Report. Maintains the company-wide Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) Surveys. Manages/supports the OSHA 300/300A log process. Will utilize industry trends and immerging regulatory changes that are applicable to benefit the company’s EHS program.


    Support management’s effort to ensure compliance with company EHS Management System expectations and applicable federal and state agencies. Respond to incoming EHS requests/questions/concerns via phone and email. Provide end-user support and training in EHS systems including managing EHS calls and online support. Builds a solid network of cross-functional partners to create working relations where this position uses data to support EHS across the entire company.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Communicates and collaborates on loss prevention goals and AWP initiatives to reach a best-in-class workplace safety culture.
    • Coordinates program and practice reviews and updates regulatory reviews, incident documentation, and corrective action tracking.
    • Manages and analyzes incident and hazard management data using the designated EHS Management System tracking database tools. Serves as the primary point of contact for analytical and performance measurement data to provide updates to EHS Department and AWP leadership on emerging trends and issues.
    • Develops field personnel by providing coaching, feedback, and continued training activities to assist in building the skills necessary to effectively utilize the EHS Management System.
    • In collaboration with operational and field leaders, develops training matrices for new hires, equipment certifications, monthly EHS training, tracking of training and project-specific needs, coordinates and schedules required training with EHS team and/or external training providers, and tracks and manages recurrent EHS requirements.
    • Ensures all EHS incidents are promptly reported and investigated. Communicates appropriately with EHS Team on preventive measures, incident investigations, RCA One Page Summaries, and crisis management.
    • Implements concepts and methodologies for continuous improvement of operations processes and activities.
    • Accurately and confidentially maintains AWP incident and claim records and other sensitive employee data.
    • Tracks and reports on key performance measures and other risk management activities performed with EHS department team and other stakeholders such as operations and project leaders responsible for identifying and resolving environmental, health and safety issues.
    • Maintains compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including EPA and OSHA regulations.
    • Administer, track, and generate EHS metrics and dashboards and provide KPI analysis.
    • Maintain OSHA WC Logs and accompanying systems

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Business, or IT
    • 3-5 years of work experience in the EHS field
    • Experience in the development and implementation of an EHS Management System Required
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications and EHS management software and training management software application.


    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:

    • Hours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
    • 40-hour work week Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
    • Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
