The Business Development Manager is responsible for the EmeraldEMS “Customer Acquisition” across all locations. This person is responsible for the development and execution of the Target Account Strategy, the direction and coordination of customer relationship management and sales process. This includes establishing and managing a deeply engaged sales management process between Emerald and the customer(s) that delivers growth objectives.

     Primary Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager: 

    • Coordinating pursuits, building customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and winning new business.  
    • Plan and assist with market analysis, strategic development, manage the execution of the strategy, and monitor progress toward organizational objectives.  
    • Provide analysis and strategic leadership enabling the organization to understand important quantitative and qualitative factors in the development of business and portfolio analysis, key customer needs, and other overall market and technical environmental analysis.   
    • Maintain management of capture and proposal activities, including pursuit status, teaming decisions, pricing and win strategies.   
    • Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.   
    • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications of the Business Development Manager:  

    • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in marketing, communication, business, or related field preferred   
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales related role   
    • Extensive knowledge of production and inventory control, material and capacity requirements planning and master planning.  
    • Experience in managing customer revenue growth and commercial management/execution.  
    • 30% Domestic travel is required.  Combination of Emerald On-Site, Customer Premise or Remote Office. Requirement depending on customer/account.
