Description of Position:

GZA is seeking a team oriented EQuIS Database Manager to support Data Services Practice Area with the management of data pertaining to all GZA’s service areas. The position focuses on a candidate with the ability to work independently and in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, presentations, analytical skills, professional judgment, and team building skills. This position requires 4 to 6 years of experience with the EarthSoft software suite.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate data from multiple sources into GZA’s EQuIS™ databases and other systems.
• Work with project teams to coordinate data collection, and produce final data deliverables meeting project schedules, scopes, and budgets.
• Identify the appropriate software tools and workflows for new projects.
• Work with project teams and data providers to successfully migrate historical data into centralized database.
• Automate workflows using EQuIS Enterprise and other applicable tools such as PowerBI, etc.
• Troubleshoot issues and clearly communicate steps to reproduce issues to team for resolution.
• Work with team to leverage most appropriate technologies, including staying up to date on data management industry standards, tools, and technologies.
• Work with team to continue development of data management standards and training materials.

Skills/Requirements:

• BS degree in in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar from an accredited college or university.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of environmental consulting, environmental chemistry, site investigations, and conceptual site models a plus.
• 4 to 6 years’ experience with EarthSoft’s suite of tools.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• PowerBI, Structured Query Language (SQL), GIS, and SharePoint experience a plus.
