    Position Purpose
    The Box Office Manager for Database & Ticketing Systems serves as the lead in the configuration and management of the Tessitura Customer Relationship Management platform in order to streamline ticketing processes, enhance accessibility, and facilitate analysis of Hopkins Center programming and practices. The Box Office Manager works across Hop departments and is a core member of the Box Office team, responsible for shared box office responsibilities and event management.

    Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
    Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
    - 2 years' experience working in box office or visitor/customer services.
    - Substantial experience with Tessitura (or similar customer relationship management platform), including building shows, generating reports and managing data.
    - Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as part of a weekly schedule and for specific event needs.
    - Experience providing warm, professional customer service and sales in a busy retail environment.
    - Ability to exercise excellent judgment, balance competing responsibilities, and identify appropriate escalation measures.
    - Commitment to working effectively as part of an equitable, anti-racist, anti-biased team and work environment. Related training is a plus.
    - Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively work with a diverse group of constituencies.
    - Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work and learn both independently and as part of a team.
    - Be informed about and compliant with ADA and PCI policies.
    Preferred Qualifications
    - Experience working as part of a team in a box office or arts center.
    - Experience in the creative sector.
    - Experience with SQL or other database programming languages.
    - Experience working in an academic setting.

    This position takes the lead in managing events in Tessitura, including event creation, venue management and ticketing configuration, while staying informed about software developments and making recommendations about our usage. They liaise with all teams within the Hop on configuration and reporting and implement data management practices across the Hop and student employee teams. They train colleagues and conduct back-end configuration to support excellent user experience throughout the ticketing process.

    This position shares the responsibility in general Box Office management, like creating extractions, mailing lists and reports, and maintaining the smooth integration between Tessitura and related systems-College databases, payment gateways, ticket printers, scanners etc. They participate in team and Hop meetings to create ticketing plans and assess our practices and impact. They help to oversee ticket selling staff and manage on-site Box Office operations during assigned times.

    This position helps in the sale of tickets for approximately 300 events annually across numerous venues by providing exceptional customer service to patrons: community members, Hop Members, students, employees and partner organizations. Responsibilities include selling tickets by phone and in-person and working shifts including evenings and occasional weekends.
