Ensure benefit programs follow relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations Influence, update and maintain benefits plan documents and policies in partnership with broker and carrier. Communicate and deploy information on benefits programs to ensure clarity and accessibility for employees Manage the preparation and submission of compliance reports and documents (5500's, 1095's, etc.) as required for health and welfare and retirement programs Provide training and development to third party benefits platform administrator to ensure their team is able to correctly respond to employee inquiries, guide employees through the platform and resolve issues Offer family support, beneficiary assistance and other support related to loss by directing family to resources or collaborating with vendor to secure onsite counseling or other support as needed Evaluate and present improvements to benefits offerings Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Human Resources or a related field preferred required 8 years Benefits Administration in a multi-state organization required 6 years Managing retirement benefits plans (defined benefit, defined contribution, defined compensation required 4 years Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements, union health and welfare plans and pensions preferred Excellent leadership and team management capabilities Collaboration with internal (payroll, Human Resources Business Partners, Human Resources Services and external stakeholders (broker, vendors, carriers) Proficiency with HRIS and benefits platforms such as Dayforce and/or Alight     #LI-IB1
