Job Summary
The Application Administrator is responsible for the ongoing management of information system applications and systems that maintain the operation, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information systems. Provide technical support for employees using our ticketing system. Work with our vendors to resolve technical issues. Restore files and SQL databases, maintain, and configure software and hardware. Work with others in the department to ensure users have the highest availability to perform their job functions.
Essential Job Functions
· Responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing information system directives as mandated by GLBA as part of the application systems.
· Ensure the ongoing integration of application systems with business strategies and requirements.
· Ensure that the access control, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, and risk management needs of the organization are properly addressed.
· Lead training initiatives to educate workforce about information application systems.
· Works with vendors, outside consultants, and other third parties to improve information security within the organization.
· Assist with vendor management efforts to ensure adequate performance and security practices are in place; including annual SOC reviews, vendor BCP review and privacy policies as needed.
· Assist with ongoing information risk assessments and audits to ensure that information systems are adequately protected and meet GLBA certification requirements.
· Assist the incident response team to contain, investigate, and prevent future computer security breaches.
· Subscribe to application notification networks, new regulations, and information sharing networks to stay current on requirements and new opportunities in the industry.
· Support business development events. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.
· Monitor the nightly processing of the core system. Manually running & processing statements at month end (rotation with other IT Staff).
· Work within established asset tracking and documentation policies and procedures to ensure the quickest response time when a troubleshooting situation arises.
· Assist with the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures and other IT documentation.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, webinars, online training and technology research to ensure the best decisions are made for the banks future growth.
· Understand and agree to comply with user responsibilities as stated in the FSB Policy Manual; Computer Use Policy (section 6.04) and Information Security Program (section 6.05)
· Assist with the development and tracking of the IT budget.
Qualification Required
· 2 year technical degree or 4 year degree and 5 years work experience.
· Experienced in the management of both physical and logical information systems.
· Strong technical skills (application and operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments, TCP/IP, firewalls, etc.).
· PC skills at a high level
