    JOB DESCRIPTION:



    Pay Range: $64,480 - $80,020 DOE Benefits

    Administers compensation programs as directed by the Compensation and Benefits Manager including salary administration, job evaluation, and wage and salary management programs. Supports the planning, development, and implementation of new and existing compensation programs and assists with detailed analysis, modeling, and costing projects.
    This role and its function are part of the Human Resources shared services model. A Team Member in a shared service structure, works within a dedicated business unit (including people, processes, and technologies) that is structured as a centralized point of service and is focused on defined business functions. These units typically serve multiple business groups enterprise wide, and typically have established Service Level Agreements.



    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

    • Administers base pay programs and other compensation programs and projects, such as bonuses, benchmarking studies, tip studies, and more.
    • Conducts market studies to validate or establish competitive pay strategies for specific jobs.
    • Performs routine ad hoc compensation analysis and reporting to meet client requests and needs from all departments within the Chumash Enterprise.
    • Builds and distributes reports from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) database and compensation software system.
    • Conducts job evaluations by performing job documentation, market pay rate analyses and internal job comparisons; assigns pay grades according to the results of the evaluation, the Compensation philosophy, and management’s strategy.
    • Evaluates and classifies jobs as Exempt or Nonexempt in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
    • Reviews and administers compensation related actions including, but not limited to employment offer, promotion, demotion, transfer, change in job classification (title or description), and salary adjustment.
    • Works with department management to design jobs and create job descriptions.
    • Participates in formal salary surveys and conducts informal salary surveys.
    • Assists in the implementation and enforcement of all compensation policies and procedures.
    • Makes recommendations to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Assists, trains, and coaches management and Team Members on compensation related issues.
    • Works closely with department leadership to create solutions to compensation related challenges. Makes recommendations to management.
    • Performs data updates in the Human Resources/Payroll and compensation systems ensuring accuracy.
    • Administers dual rates program including, but not limited to dual rate pay determinations, tracking, and pay adjustment projects.
    • Submits personnel action forms as needed.
    • Uploads and maintains survey, employee, and job data in the Compensation software.
    • Addresses formatta route needs and alerts.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
    • Certified Compensation Professional designation (WorldatWork), SHRM, or PHR certification preferred.
    • Three years of experience in analysis and administration of compensation programs or related work.
    • Prior experience within other areas of Human Resources preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office and HRIS database applications, email, and Internet.
    • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
    • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
    • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
    • Native American hiring preference applies.
