Job Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, maintain database.
- Explain and tune application queries to meet performance requirements.
- Migrate database changes from one environment to another.
- Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning.
- Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations.
- Maintain server configuration, migration, and other implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
- Manage back-ups and recovery procedures.
Technical Skills: Experience in Windows XP/2003/Vista, SQL, MySQL.
Requirements:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, security, recovery, integrity and SQL
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Electrical or Electronics/ Mathematics or related field or equivalent degree
- Travel may be required.
Salary: $68,000/year
