Schneider Enterprise Resources, LLC has an opening for a Manager - IT Database in Green Bay, WI. Lead a technical team of associates and variable contract resource database activities including, but not limited to, database design, implementation, performance tuning, configuration, maintenance, and system monitoring, both on-premises and in the Cloud. Manage and deliver, on-schedule and within budget, multiple projects to deliver high quality solutions that meet technical and business requirements. Collaborate with other managers regarding dependencies across projects. Develop resource plans and identify responsibilities of project team members for project assignments. Assign project resources to project tasks, clearly setting expectations of task completion requirements. Communicate project status directly to customers/business sponsors and Tech Leadership through status reports, weekly meetings, and any other communication tools. Lead quality assurance function for solutions produced by project teams to ensure adherence to quality standards. Review and approve deliverables and work products prior to milestone passage. Remain current with advances in technology in their domain, changes in the transportation and logistics industries, Cloud technology, and general business developments. Participate in the prioritization of current and future tasks, balance priorities against system support needs, and resource projects based on best skill set match and business objectives. Understand Schneider's technical operations and interactions between departments, maintaining a functional proficiency in standard software, hardware, related storage, and database technologies. Explain complex information in an understandable way and productively challenge storage and database designs by adherence to standards and best practices.
