Job Description: 

The ideal candidate will possess significant PostgreSQL experience, with a knack for optimizing existing systems and enhancing application development for the future. Your expertise will be crucial in speeding up request processing, as well as designing and implementing new functions and data structures to support our upcoming features.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the API team to refine and enhance SQL capabilities.

Optimize existing PostgreSQL databases for improved performance and efficiency.

Design and develop new functions and data structures to support innovative features.

Play a pivotal role in application development, focusing on database optimization and expansion.

Contribute to the improvement of request processing speeds through strategic optimizations.

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration, performance tuning, and security.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with PL/SQL.

Demonstrated ability in developing and optimizing data structures and functions.

Strong understanding database design principles.

Previous experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash and Python

Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL.

Strong experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery environments, and VLDBs.

Good understanding of hardware, memory and storage subsystems

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
