Being a Database Engineer writes queries, stored procedures and functions for database development. Monitors databases' performance, scalability, and security and modifies procedures to optimize database designs. Additionally, Database Engineer evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates, performance tuning, and integration requirements. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of database technologies and solid coding and computer system skills. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Role Summary:
IT Database Administrator is responsible for the oversight, performance, integrity, and security of the database system. The DBA is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of all production databases, advice management of potential risks and mitigations and proactively take steps to ensure smooth and consistent performance. This position, with support from the VP of Core Operations, is responsible for strategic planning for database system capacity and performance. Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the availability and security of all database systems. Plays a critical role in developing and administering backup and recovery procedures.
The Sr. IT Database Administrator position has the ability to work fully remote from Washington, Oregon or Idaho.
