Database Marketing Analyst performs analysis of marketing databases to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of various marketing programs. Develops strategy for targeted marketing campaigns and is responsible for data extraction and list or lead generation. Being a Database Marketing Analyst runs various reports to track retention, identify new customers, and pinpoint opportunities to increase sales to current customers. Ensures that the database is updated and maintained in a timely fashion. Additionally, Database Marketing Analyst requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Database Marketing Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Writes intermediate level code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for data access and interoperability. Creates reports according to requestor specifications. Validates report data. Reconciles discrepancies between the expectations of managers and information presented in their reports. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field or Associate and equivalent experience.
Experience Desired
• Three years’ experience in hospital environment
• Three years’ experience in working with relational databases - administration and maintenance, database design, analysis, and management.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel and Access.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently to analyze specifications and requirements
• Ability to exercise independent judgment to analyze business objectives
• Ability to effectively present information in small groups
• Ability to schedule and coordinate multiple projects
• Tableau experience a plus
