BITCO Corporation, headquartered in Davenport, IA, is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in Davenport, IA. BITCO provides quality property and casualty insurance services to specialized industries including construction, forest, and oil and gas products.
Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives and plans, in accordance with corporate goals and objectives. This role will lead the development of marketing programs that build brand awareness, attract new customers, and foster relationships with existing customer and key trade associations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directs and supervises the work of the Marketing department, including the quality, quantity and timeliness of work produced
- Maintains current company and department procedures. Assigns work, provides training and feedback to team members, and conducts timely and appropriate evaluations of job performance in the department
- Develops marketing plans and objectives consistent with sales and profitability goals for BITCO
- Reviews, develops and facilitates department budget planning based on corporate goals and objectives
- Coordinates with the Executive team, Program Managers, and Regional Managers to identify and evaluate opportunities for growth and expansion into existing and new market areas by the collection and analysis of various business data and statistics. Provides input into objectives for market segmentation, penetration and targeting of market types and areas
- In conjunction with the Program Managers, identifies, develops, and maintains files, marketing service agreements and facilitates relationships with key trade associations
- Assists in the development of marketing and sales skills by assessing and identifying training needs for performance improvement
- Develops and maintains external marketing resources that assist in attaining organizational sales and profitability goals
- Creates, reviews, and facilitates media plans, digital media options, and print media utilizing Old Republic International branding standards and marketing objectives
- Reviews, develops, and manages content of the public website as well as agency and customer portals
- Handles the keeping, updating, organization, and timely distribution of all BITCO marketing material, including trade show booths, branded gifts, and handouts following internal guidelines
- Ensures compliance with company brand standards; acts as the authority and administrator of all internal documents and branded items
- As a management representative, consistently acts in the best interest of BITCO and provides leadership and communication to actively promote BITCO's mission, values, and culture
- All other functions and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
- Prior experience in a marketing or ad agency role required, experience in a marketing role at an insurance carrier is preferred
- Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
- Proven ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of an organization
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written; ability to communicate and present information to various audiences in an appropriate and professional manner
- Ability to present a positive and professional image on behalf of BITCO
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Highly proficient with MS Office and other business communication systems
