Database Marketing Analytics Manager

  • Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, the Database Marketing Analytics Manager will be responsible for driving value from the team’s fan data warehouse. This person will collaborate with the internal marketing team and the NFL to implement new audience segmentation and journey management tools. They will be an integral part of developing more 1:1 fan communication through multiple channels. This role is also responsible for measuring the success of marketing campaigns. They will lead a team of analysts and an intern to accomplish these goals.
    **This is an onsite position with regular office hours full time.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement new segmentation and journey mapping tools
    • Implement fan preference centers and help manage consent (e-mail, push, SMS)
    • Build audience segments and fan journeys that align with business line goals (ticketing, sponsorship, digital commerce, fan marketing and international)
    • Work directly with the NFL on the United View of the Fan program
    • Utilize tools such as SQL and Tableau to query and drive both reporting and analysis
    • Manage campaign reporting process (determine KPIs, measure campaign success, report on results and provide recommendations)
    • Ensure compliance with privacy policies and data privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
    • Manage team of employees tasked with overall organizational improvement

    EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
    • Graduate degree is a plus
    • 5 years experience in analytics (sports experience preferred)
    • Strong knowledge of data warehouses
    • Understanding of relational database schema design
    • Experience with segmentation and journey mapping software (Adobe preferred)
    • Proficient in SQL
    • Proficiency in R and Python is a plus
    • Proficient building dashboards in Tableau or similar tool
    • Must possess problem-solving capabilities to discover, address and resolve issues
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for many different organizational departments
    • Must be hands on and capable of managing a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Ability to manage external vendors
    • Independent worker with close attention to detail
    • Authorized to work in the United States
