    Marketing Direction is a fast-growing, fully remote marketing agency that delivers high-quality marketing programs to a mix of B2B and B2C private companies. We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Marketer / Marketing Manager to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals.


    As a Lead Marketer / Marketing Manager, you will oversee the execution of marketing plans for assigned clients, located primarily in Central Florida. This includes working with cross-functional teams to get projects completed on time, on budget, and with the best possible results. Our Lead Marketers also build and maintain strong client relationships and review / report on marketing results with clients on a regular basis.


    This request is for independent contractors – not full time or part time employment. This will encompass project work as needed for clients in a variety of industries. We are a fully remote agency, so you will have the luxury of working from your home office with only occasional in-person presentations and client visits. 

     

    ACTIVITIES:

    As a Lead Marketer / Marketing Manager, you will oversee the execution of marketing plans for several clients. This includes:

    • Creating and implementing a detailed 24-month marketing action plan (DMAP)
    • Presenting and explaining the DMAP to clients
    • Coordinating projects with a team of marketing specialists, freelancers, and vendors
    • Building strong client relationships
    • Ensuring client buy in and understanding of marketing activities
    • Reviewing and reporting on marketing results; explaining results to clients; recommending and making adjustments as necessary
    • Conducting marketing activities such as search engine marketing (paid & organic), web design, landing page design, copywriting, email marketing, research, analysis, social media posting, graphic design, etc.
    • Maintaining a status report for all active projects
    • Managing and reporting on client marketing budgets
    • Hosting recurring status meetings with clients and the internal team
    • Regular client contact

    • Project Management: Familiarity with project management, CRM, content management systems, and website analytics. The ability to plan, track, and manage marketing projects from start to finish.
    • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress, Email Marketing Platforms such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc., Project Management Platforms such as Monday.com, Wrike, etc., and basic math.
    • Motivational and Negotiation: Good motivational and negotiation skills. The ability to motivate and inspire team members, and to negotiate effectively with clients and vendors.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, public relations, mass communications or related fields of study
    • 10 years of marketing experience; 2 years in a senior marketing role / 2 years in a supervisory management role.
    • Mix of corporate, agency and consulting experience is preferred.
