Experience: Four or more years’ experience in database, production and on-call environments. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to build, manage and maintain databases and database processes. Ability to implement database patches and backup/recovery procedures. Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, data migrations, and software engineering principles. Monitoring usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc. Audit and ensure the SQL environment is secured according to industry secure best practices. Assist in testing back-up and recovery plans based on business continuity plan. Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies within the Microsoft Data Fabric framework. Must be self-motivated, innovative, detail oriented and willing to fit in with a very tightknit team of professionals. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies. Adhere to project timelines and deliverable, effective communication of changes or disruptions to the schedule with a focus on expectation alignment. Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor. Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas. Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented. Other duties as assigned.
