    Department Overview

    The Transformation Office was newly created in 2022 reporting to the Chief Operations and Transformation Officer.  This is a critical function to ensure Fremont Bank is making the best use of our resources such as people, processes, and technology.  The team works with leaders across the organization to help them identify opportunities, metrics, and track performance on Transformation Scorecards. 

    Our team is tasked with providing supporting analysis of large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data (using complex features of Excel) for identifying and reporting on opportunities with the greatest possible impact.

    Position Overview

    Apprentice Level:  Data Analyst (Pivot Tables & Executive Report)

    Extract large quantities of data using existing spreadsheets and creating new spreadsheets (Excel) including complex functions for charting date and development of Pivot Tables. This will also include integration with PowerPoint (PPT) for executive and board level presentations.  Qualitative data will require exceptional communication and analytical skills. Additional duties may include cleaning up and editing documentation/instructions.  The intern will have an opportunity to present their work to leaders across the Bank and learn how to collect feedback on their own work.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Deep analysis of large quantities of existing qualitative data from the IT Service Desk (help tickets)
    • Categorize and quantify the qualitative data
    • Build new data sets and pivot tables, charts, and integrations to PPT
    • Edit and updates to Executive Reports (Excel & PPT)
    • Support team with administrative tasks as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must have proven desire and ability to study and learn new technologies quickly
    • Must be very proficient with the following tools: Excel (pivot tables & charts) and PowerPoint (create master templates and integrate with Excel)
    • Good working knowledge of:  Microsoft (Word, Visio, Outlook)
    • Overall strong working knowledge of Windows based personal computers
    • Familiar with business communications, excellent organizational skills
    • Strong English language skills to interpret and analyze survey open comments. 

    Eligibility and Requirements

    Only individuals possessing outstanding character, a high degree of motivation, and the willingness to learn will be selected. 

    To be considered, students must meet the following qualifications:

    • Candidate should be taking upper division courses (junior or senior year)
    • Candidate should express interest in working in a related field that supports financial services, after graduation
    •  Candidate should be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Candidate must be returning to their campus following the program
    • Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace
    • Have excellent customer services/client focus, teamwork, and collaboration
    • Ability to write and communicate effectively and have solid attention to details
    • Experience in administrative/office support and phone skills
    • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Offices including Word, Excel (pivot tables, charts); PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
    • Experience in research, analysis and statistical data are a plus
