Technical Report Writer

Intertek is searching for an Technical Report Writer to join our Building & Construction team in our York, PA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Building and Construction industry!

What you will do:

• Prepare technical reports under minimal direction from senior staff
• Generate technical reports from technician data
• Prepare reports by entering information supplied by test technicians
• Work with technicians on any questions or missing data
• Keep all reports within required turn around times
• Track turn around time and data sheet submissions
• Maintain reports using existing web based software
• Work with the Quality team to ensure all the records are in compliance with the quality system
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Administrative assistance when needed
• Other duties as assigned

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years directly related experience
• Expertise in the MS Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Must be self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Skills (Note: On the job training provided)

• Construction terminology and background or work experience
• Knowledge of fenestration industry is a plus
• Strong knowledge of web-based networking software
Technical degree is a plus
