The Episcopal Day School is a ministry of Holy Trinity Episcopal Parish that prepares pre-primary children of the community for their future by loving and teaching them in a Christian environment.

Floaters and After School Care Teachers for the 2024-2025 School Year

Possible hours between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Friday

Background check, central registry and health assessment paid for by the school.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must meet all requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing (SC DSS) to be employed (reimbursed by EDS):
• Fingerprinting for FBI/SLED check (Identi-Go Live Scan Digital Fingerprinting)
• TB test, Health Assessment, & Medical Statement
• Central Registry Check
• USCIS Form I-9
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, which include but are not limited to:
• Lifting of children or classroom objects,
• Moving of classroom objects,
• Accessing a child within a few seconds daily as well as in times of emergency.

Ideal candidates:

• Have experience working in a preschool environment, preferred
• Are dependable, punctual, adaptable, and passionate about their work with young children and are dedicated to the growth and development of the whole child.
• Have current certification in First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain it

Responsibilities:

• Nurture every child with patience and love.
• Assist with classroom management, planning, preparation and implementation of lessons/activities.
• Directly supervise and attend to the safety, and personal care, of the children.
• Maintain order and cleanliness.
• Be actively engaged in all components of the school day.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents and co-workers
• Help maintain classroom and DSS records, forms and necessary documentation for files. Follow all DSS and school policies and procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
