Mizrahi Torah Academy is looking for a warm and caring Assistant Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited to be one of the catalysts for our future leaders to grow and be lifelong learners. Our designed small class sizes give teachers and students the ability to build meaningful relationships and help ensure that everybody gets the attention and instruction that they deserve.

• This Assistant Teacher job for 2023-2024 comes with the responsibility to facilitate and assist our children in meeting and surpassing State Standards through creative and innovative techniques, and individualizing instruction for all our students.
• This job will also include being a substitue teacher, when needed. Lesson plans and administrative assistance will be provided.

Skills and expertise include, but are not limited to:

comprehensive knowledge of instructional best practices within education including the integration of Project Based Learning and technology to support learning

working knowledge of a wide range of assessment strategies consistent with learning content and objectives

effective classroom management through the application of fair and consistent standards, routines, encouragement and loving redirection

develop social skills and positive behaviors

encourage cooperative academic and social learning through games and activities

great communication skills

most importantly, a profound love and warmth for students which will permeate all aspects of instruction and communication
