Dealer Relationship Manager establishes and maintains relationships with automobile dealerships with the goal of promoting indirect loans. Provides guidance, training, and support to dealers on the organization's loan products, and tracks dealer metrics and performance. Being a Dealer Relationship Manager maintains working knowledge of products and programs, and ensures that dealer organizations comply with organizational policies and standards. Continually surveys competitive market loan rates and prepares reports for management. Additionally, Dealer Relationship Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Dealer Relationship Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The purpose of this job is revenue generation with a focus on new customer acquisition - this is a “Hunter” role. The role will also include supervision of area operations.

    Automotive Industry Experience Required

    Consider Your Opportunity

    • Establish and grow the Dealer Specialties brand throughout the market
    • Provide solutions to the automotive dealership’s needs for inventory merchandising, on-the-lot data capture, data management, pricing guidance, video products, mobile solutions, and data distribution
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and dealership groups
    • Assist in the development/penetration of new products through daily and weekly visits with customers
    • Provide direction and lead service managers and account representatives
    • Manage and review P&L statements
    • Coach and mentor the entire team
    • Manage the performance of the market through employee performance reviews and daily quality checks
    • Communicate vision and goals to the entire team and assist them with sales strategies

    Contribute Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Two or more years of hunter and outside sales experience
    • History of building a sales territory
    • Excellent Internet knowledge and acquired web skills necessary
    • Self-motivated and enjoys working in an autonomous environment
    • Self-managed individual measured by agreed-upon activity objectives
    • A minimum of two years of outside sales experience
    • Leadership success of the Route/Sales team required
    • Five or more years performing relationship management with team members and customers
    • Two or more years of expertise in brand management
    • Strengths and business competencies that include building effective teams, customer focus, drive for results, listening, problem-solving, decision quality, motivating others, integrity, and trust, priority setting
    • Automotive experience required

    This role offers a base salary of approximately $50-$55k annually plus bonus potential. Compensation factors include geography, experience, education, job demands, job market, etc. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account; 401k, matching up to 4% fully vested on day one of employment; paid vacation, company holidays, and sick leave; and corporate discount opportunities.
