Dean of Arts and Sciences manages administrative functions of the college of arts and sciences. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. This position is a shared administrative support position reporting half-time to the Dean of Arts and Sciences (A&S) and half-time to the Dean of Business and Applied Technologies (BAT). The position is responsible for performing administrative support duties for both deans, plus school faculty and staff. The academic deans of both schools make assignments and review work for accuracy and timeliness of accomplishment. Work assignments may come from the dean through the Administrative Assistant. This position must be able to exercise initiative and independent judgment in performance of assigned duties.
