As Program Manager, you will be responsible for being a key member of the team that that supports students and faculty in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS) in order to promote high quality education in these fields and ensure the smooth operation of the Division. In this role, you will maintain and reconcile budgets, oversee payroll, lead major projects, and implement division and campus-wide policies and procedures.

    What you will be working on:

    • Preparing, maintaining, reviewing multiple budgets and expense reports with varying complexity.
    • Coordinating major operations of the Division, including developing and establishing procedures and practices for activities related to the Division programs.
    • Efficiently completing large projects, while completing ongoing tasks.
    • Implementing Division and college policies and procedures related to the Division programs.
    • Onboarding and working with faculty, classified, hourly staff, exempt employees, and student employees.
    • Providing the Dean with accurate and timely data.
    • Collaborating with members of the AHSS Division office on initiatives and daily operations.

    What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

    • Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent AND at least five years of increasingly responsible office experience requiring digital communication and including experience leading the work of others. Experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
    • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of racial equity practices in education.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and use good judgement.
    • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and technologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to use of Google Drive and OneDrive.
    • Demonstrated ability to set deadlines and manage frequent interruptions.

    Physical Requirements:

    The position

    • Typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
    • Encounters frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
    • Is regularly required to provide 1:1 support, present to small groups, and work at a computer exercising repetitive hand motion with or without reasonable accommodation.
