Salary:

$24-$35 per hour

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Communications Assistant to join our team. As a Communications Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication efforts of our organization. You will work closely with the Communications Manager and other team members to execute communication strategies and ensure effective internal and external communication channels. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about communications, has excellent writing and organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Assist in creating compelling written content for various communication channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and website content.
• Social Media Management: Help manage and maintain our organization's social media presence by scheduling and posting updates, monitoring engagement, and tracking performance metrics.
• Internal Communication: Support internal communication efforts by assisting in the development and distribution of internal newsletters, updates, and announcements.
• Media Relations: Assist in maintaining relationships with media contacts, including journalists, bloggers, and influencers, to secure media coverage and respond to media inquiries.
• Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating organizational events, including press conferences, product launches, and community outreach programs.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Communications Manager, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing communication-related databases.

Qualifications:

• Excellent Writing Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
• Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with various social media platforms and experience in managing social media accounts for organizations.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all communications.
• Tech-savvy: Proficient in using communication tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite, content management systems, social media management platforms, and analytics tools.
• Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
