    This position will develop and lead marketing and communication initiatives for First Southwest Bank (FSWB), a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), and the First Southwest Community Fund (FSWCF), its partner 501 C 3 nonprofit revolving loan fund.

    The Marketing & Communications Specialist will develop, execute, and monitor FSWBs marketing and communications plans aligning with the organization's strategic goals, brand guidelines and compliance requirements.

    The Marketing & Communications Specialist will support the banks Marketing Director, Marketing Committee, Branch Managers and staff, and serve as marketing liaison to contractors, vendors, non-profit and other community leaders.

    Position Responsibilities: Develop and implement FSWB marketing plans, including developing and managing FSWBs marketing calendar, conducting market research, promotion, advertising, monitoring, and evaluation measures. Develop , implement and/or coordinate FSWB marketing campaigns, content, and collateral development (in print, digital and for broadcast) across varied markets, channels and audiences. Develop and drive FSWBs website strategy and content, analytics reporting and SEO to build and improve brand awareness, attract inbound traffic, new customers, increase brand rank and website visibility. Manage media relations for paid and earned media, initiate and track ad buying and placement, and provide video and photography support. Develop, implement and measure FSWBs online and mobile banking customer communications including cross-selling products and services, new promotions, app features, and news. Manage FSWBs market-wide donation and sponsorship program, coordination and tracking, branch staff and applicant outreach and communication. In collaboration with lending and deposit operation staff, pursue strategies to develop new nonprofit business. Write and deliver FSWBs internal and external communications to staff, customers, clients, and others including web-blogs, e-newsletters, ad copy, press releases, Impact Report, Intranet content, speeches and presentations. Manage and report results on FSWBs and FSWCFs social media presence, developing and implementing targeted strategies, including Google My Business, YouTube, and Meta, to increase brand awareness and reach new audiences. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
    Schedule, organize and attend meetings, tradeshows, community and special events. Lead event set-up and assist with market-specific functions. Some travel may be required.

    Distribute monthly marketing & events calendar to stakeholders. Distribute marketing materials to branches/offices with specific instructions on displaying and timeframe. Participate in FSWBs internal committees, as assigned. Understand what differentiates FSWB from other banks, the work of the FSWCF, and effectively communicate our mission and collective impact to entrepreneurs, businesses, government agencies, private investors and communities. Provide administrative support to Marketing Director. Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -
    5-7 years experience in marketing, communications, media, nonprofits, the financial industry and/or bank marketing.
    Bachelors degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: - High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
    Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Canva, Slack, website CMS and email marketing.
    Extraordinary customer service and community relations in all forms of verbal or written communication.
    Creative and resourceful, highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent writing and critical thinking skills.
    Strong problem-solving, community engagement, collaboration and effective listening skills.
    Must possess a friendly, courteous, patient, flexible and professional manner.

    Each employee of the bank shall be required to complete Bank Secrecy Act / Suspicious Activity training periodically which is commensurate with the duties of their position.
