Dean of Continuing Education manages administrative functions of the college of continuing education. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Continuing Education leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Continuing Education requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Continuing Education manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Continuing Education typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • The Director of Customer Service and Marketing for Continuing Education will manage front-line customer service responsibilities for Continuing Education, including phone, email, and walk-in service.     This position requires a bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.  Preferred candidate will have bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of relevant program experience. Ideal candidate will have direct customer service and marketing experience related to working with continuing education programs. Candidate will have experience assisting continuing education students before, during, and after enrollment, advising and supporting students with onboarding, and experience leading and executing events related to continuing education programs. Working knowledge identifying long-term and short-term marketing goals and needs and ensuring full implementation of marketing strategies is essential.   This position works independently and in teams, using sound judgment and discretion with a minimum degree of supervision.  Must work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment while providing exemplary customer service and possess strong interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work with a minimum degree of supervision.
