Dean of Engineering manages administrative functions of the college of engineering. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Engineering leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Engineering requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Engineering manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking an entry level field inspector to be based at customer site in Ghent, KY. A successful candidate will inspect structural components at customer locations and ensure that structural deficiencies are recorded for customer use. The gathering of field measurements, conducting inspections and observing existing conditions in a heavy industrial environment is a primary component of this position. Candidates must be prepared to readily accept these requirements and will be properly trained to work in these environments.

Employees may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

Technical degree preferred.
Nondestructive testing experience.
Certified welding inspector.
American Petroleum Inspector 510, 570 or 653.
NACE coating inspector.
Experience in shop welding and fabrication or quality inspection in other fields.
