Job Title: Deputy Telecommunication Engineering Lead
Location: Harrisonburg, VA
Job Description: Produce detailed design and shop drawings using AutoCAD, REVIT and Bluebeam Revu based on project criteria. Coordinate and produce detailed telecom ISP & OSP pathway design using Excel, Revit NAVIS Works Simulate and NAVIS Works Manage. Produce and manage horizontal and backbone cable run lists and manage test results using Revit, LinkWare Live and other specific test equipment software. Learn the operation of and lead in the design of active systems to include: nurse call systems, public address systems, distributed antenna systems, and emergency phones. Develop an in-depth knowledge of and utilize relevant sections of NFPA codes, ITA Standards, BICSI publications, or other relevant criteria. Coordinate infrastructures and system integration requirements with the following systems: CCTV, ACCS, A/V, Fire Alarm, WLAN, BAS, DAS, etc. Assist I2CS Project Leadership with the engineering planning, design, and implementation of telecommunication systems and the daily coordination and progress of I2CS jobs. Manage the project engineering deliverable process and ensure that all junior engineers are following standard practices and completing work as scheduled while meeting quality standards. Assist the I2CS Engineering leader in the overall planning, direction, and control of engineering to support all current and future projects. Conduct research to stay updated with the latest telecommunication technologies and coordinate training programs to upskill the I2CS engineering team. Work with junior engineers and field technicians by assisting in the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues of telecommunication systems. Manage and coordinate procedural audits and test procedures to ensure optimal performance. Maintain effective communication with senior management and all project stakeholders (including vendors, contractors, and other external stakeholders) about the status, risks, and developments in I2CS projects via regularly scheduled project meetings. Assist teams and take offs and proposal development. Produce plans and test procedures for Pre-Installation and Check Out (PITCO) activities.
