2. Belt Requirement: You MUST have a martial arts belt in a recognizable art. This is not negotiable. DO NOT APPLY if you don't have a belt. We teach a mixed martial arts curriculum, but all styles are welcome and respected. We simply teach you whatever you're missing. Don't be intimidated by this! We got you!
3. Small Group Teaching: Most martial arts schools have one instructor teach 20 to 40 students, with all parents watching. We don't do that. You'll teach small groups of 4-7 kids on the same mat as other instructors doing the same thing, nearby.
4. Teaching Experience NOT Required: We will thoroughly train on exactly how to teach. You get to put your own style on it. But we'll teach you extremely precise tactics that make your job much easier and enjoyable.
5. Precise Class Format: The timeline is automated for you, visually, so you always know what training to work on with the kids. You'll never have to "wing it".
6. Schedule: YOU MUST BE ABLE to make the schedule, without issue: Monday - Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:50 PM. This is not negotiable.
7. Career Opportunities: This position is part-time. But there are DEFINITELY full-time, high paying opportunities within the company. WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED with any "Rise Martial Arts" locations outside of Michigan, in any way. But we're growing in Michigan.
8. Atmosphere: Good vibes only. We treat instructors with absolute, 100% respect.
9. Background Check: This must come up clean. Any serious criminal convictions will result in an instant rejection (our instructors are around kids, after all).
10. Passions: If you don't have a passion or joy for teaching, martial arts, & working with kids, this won't be a good fit for you.
