Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Fine Arts requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Fine Arts manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Fine Arts typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. WANTED: Experience gardeners to work in a small landscaping crew maintaining gorgeous gardens around the mid coast (Rockland, Rockport, Camden mostly). This is a serious professional gardening job. The applicant will know how to be pleasant on the job with good communication skills, and truly know how to be part of a team,. You will be in a friendly environment with other likeminded people, working outdoors with beautiful plants in lovely coastal locations.
Just to reiterate: You have to enjoy moving around and working with your body , love working outdoors, and truly like working as part of a team effort.
The work season starts in April and ends first week of December. We have a good sized season so we can be outside as long as possible, and make some money. It is crucial that the applicant can be committed and finish the entire work season. There are many beautiful locations to install and tend gardens. My business is in it's 27 year and has a very good reputation, so looking for someone who can be enthusiastic with quality workmanship who loves being outdoors, and has a passion for plants. I love what I do, and want everyone in the crew to have a good experience, so we can make it a very good season. Care of the gardens is done organically, no one is exposed to harmful chemicals. This is a "fine gardening" situation, so you will be doing hand work to flowers and other plants, the soil, etc.
Applicants should be no more than 30 minutes away (serious about that) from Camden-Rockport area. $22-30 per hour depending on how much experience you've had...
