Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Fine Arts requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Fine Arts manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Fine Arts typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds, with a focus on creating engaging and educational music lessons.
Yearly Performances:
Christmas Production includes the entire school (TK-8th grade)
Back to School Night (Expo) includes the entire school in February
Talent Show - every year in May (auditions/sign up)
Part-Time Position
1 time per week music class with the TK-5th grade students (40 minutes each class)
2 days per week elective for middle school (40 minutes each day) for one semester
After-school drama/music program twice a week (45 minutes)
5 hours of planning and development per week more during performances as needed.
Qualifications:
Courses in child development and music theory/education preferred.
*Strong communications, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and various musical genres
- Experience in curriculum development is a plus
- Passion for educating and inspiring students through music
- Familiarity with childhood development principles
