Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Fine Arts requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Fine Arts manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Fine Arts typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. culture.RCIS includes two elementary schools, a high school, The Heritage Center, and six
churches on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in southwestern South Dakota. By
integrating both Lakota culture and heritage with spiritual beliefs and practices from
the Lakota and Catholic traditions, RCIS aims to educate both the mind and the heart
of its students, parishioners, and staff, creating leaders of tomorrow with competence,
conscience, and compassion.Position Summary:
This faculty member will work in the Elementary School teaching, mentoring and working collaboratively
with peers.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Teach assigned Lakota Fine Art assignments (art, dance, drama, song).
- Provide homework assistance to students
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
- Participate in school activities
- Actively participate in staff meetings
- Complete all student record-keeping responsibilities, including grading, assessments, and behavior, using
the Infinite Campus system
- Integrate Lakota and Ignatian spirituality into classroom pedagogy
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
I. Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree
- Language Speaker - Preferred
- SD Teacher Certification - Preferred
II. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able up to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs

Base Annual Salary Depends on Credentials- $ 33,000 - $ 35,50
