Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Fine Arts requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Fine Arts manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Fine Arts typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) invites applications for the role of Kitchen Services Associate.
Reporting to the Amuse Executive Chef, this position supports the culinary team in Amuse, a full service upscale restaurant, as well as our other food service revenue centers as needed. This is a non-exempt, wage position without benefits, eligible to work up to approximately 28 hours per week on average and up to 1,450 hours annually (May 1 - April 30).
