Dean of Humanities manages administrative functions of the college of humanities. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Humanities leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Humanities requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Humanities manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Humanities typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Electronics Technician II will demonstrate the following capabilities:

    1. Install and maintain electronic security systems
    2. Participate in review of design documentation and system data to plan and execute installation and maintenance activities
    3. Execute installation and maintenance activities within planned durations
    4. Complete high quality device and component installation activities and maintenance activities
    5. Participate in configuration of servers, workstations, panels and other programmable components
    6. Execute testing to verify high quality installations
    7. Execute testing to identify and correct system problems at component and system levels as part of system sustainment activities
    8. Install system raceway
    9. Install system cabling
    10. Terminate and test system cabling and all components
    11. Install equipment racks, enclosures, panels and all mounting hardware components
    12. Meet all attendance requirements and working hours of the assignment
    13. Communicate effectively with supervisors
    14. Communicate effectively with subordinates
    15. Incorporate, follow and reinforce all required safety practices at all times
    16. Complete detailed and accurate as-built, testing, and quality control documentation
    17. Participate in logistics planning for personnel and equipment
    18. Perform as a reliable contact for field operations with the customer representatives

    Specific position requirements are as follows:

    1. Requires a HS diploma or GED
    2. Requires a Valid driver's license 5-7 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
    3. Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
    4. Formal Electronics Training as follows:
    5. Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
    6. Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
    7. Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program or
    8. An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
    9. This position requires ongoing use of a company vehicle.  Selected candidates must possess a clean driving record in accordance to MC Dean policy.

    Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:

    1. Software House CCURE, Verint, MDI, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch BVMS, FFT, Honeywell Video &  Vindicator, and Proximex certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
    2. Lenel OnGuard Enterprise Security System certification 
    3. Attention to detail in the execution of Performance Verification Tests
    4. Troubleshoot and Repair electronic security systems as well as perform regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance
    5. Strong communication and writing skills
    6. Open to travel throughout the Continental US
     
    Physical Requirements:

     

     

    1. Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.

    2. Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.

    3. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.

    4. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.

    5. Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.

    6. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.

    7. Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.  It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

    8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

    9. Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

    10. See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

    11. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
