Dean of Law manages administrative functions of the college of law. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Law leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Law requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Law manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Law typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. - The Dean of Academics is responsible for leading and coordinating the school’s academic program as well as supporting the continued professional growth of the faculty.
- Partnership with department chairs and leadership of the Curriculum Committee is a primary mechanism to achieve the type of alignment and programmatic evolution that the school seeks.
- The Academic Dean will lead the Academic Office, including the Director of Studies and Registrar, as well as oversee the library and educational technology. In coordination with the Chief People Officer and Dean of Faculty, the Dean of Academics will work in the hiring process to attract and retain educators committed to our vision and mission.
- This position is a part of the leadership structure of the school, reporting to the Associate Head of School and acting as a key member of the Leadership Team.
