Dean of Law manages administrative functions of the college of law. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Law leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Law requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Law manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Law typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.       Career Elevation and Technology Center


      The Career Elevation and Technology Center (CETC) is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) center for the St. Vrain School District and is one of eight CTE centers in the state of Colorado. CETC offers classes that provide real-world, hands-on experiences in pathways that are high-wage, high-growth, high-demand, and with a post-secondary trajectory. These pathways provide students with opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills linked with specific post-secondary programs leading to a two-year or four-year degree, and provide students industry certifications giving them a jump start in their careers.

      Program Overview:
      This exciting new program will provide students with a comprehensive introduction to American law, its legal systems and institutions, and appropriate legal theory and practice. In this program, students will be able to develop knowledge and skills for the modern legal workplace, including digital competence, fact identification and analysis, legal research and writing, and field-related work. It will also connect students to potential careers through multiple work-based learning opportunities such as industry visits and speakers, job shadows, and internships.

      Pre-Law Position Desired Qualifications

      • A degree in Law or a closely related field (i.e Political Science, Paralegal, Social Sciences)
      • 3 years relevant occupational experience in the field of Law or a closely related field
      • Currently possess, or have the ability to possess, a valid secondary teaching credential.
      • Ability to develop strong industry connections and partnerships in the community.
      • Ability to work with industry and post-secondary partners to develop curriculum and opportunities.
