Dean of Law manages administrative functions of the college of law. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Law leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Law requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Law manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Law typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     This position reports to the Program Manager. Must be able to support the management of medium to large complex construction/facility maintenance projects, within the Operations & Maintenance Function.

    1. Manage of structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and civil construction/facility projects.
    2. Manage requirements for construction/maintenance projects in operating facilities also including Task Orders.
    3. Planning and scheduling contractor work in an operating facility also including Task Orders.
    4. Develop construction/facility maintenance scopes of work.
    5. Manage quality requirements for construction/facility maintenance projects.
    6. Manage construction/facility maintenance costs and budgets for Task Orders.
    7. Obtain work approvals and permits as required.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Maintains client relationships by regular communication to better understand
      project operations, this communication should; appraise of DeanFluor activities, advise of potential improvements, assess changing needs, develop teamwork and ask for client feedback on performance.
    2. Acts as the first line of contact to the Program Manager by conducting interviews and
      maintaining close client relationships.
    3. Manages the work to the terms of the contract by eliminating leakage and optimizing returns.
    4. Monitors risk as assigned, by reviewing risk on a regular basis and identifying significant business risk for DeanFluor.
    5. Identifies future client requirements by developing on-site assessments of client operations and proposing project plans.
    6. Applies appropriate analytical tools and techniques in by assessing client organizations.
    7. Fulfills contract requirements by ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the project contract are clearly defined, documented and followed by the DeanFluor team.
    8. Assists in the development and adherence by monitoring budgets, performance and utilization and provides periodic reporting for the respective site.
    9. Supports sales efforts by assisting in estimates and proposals.
    10. Maintains a safe work environment.
    11. Performs other duties as assigned and proposing project plans.
    12. Applies appropriate analytical tools and techniques in by assessing client organizations.
    13. Fulfills contract requirements by ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the project contract are clearly defined, documented and followed by the DeanFluor team.
    14. Assists in the development and adherence by monitoring budgets, performance and utilization and provides periodic reporting for the respective site.
    15. Supports sales efforts by assisting in estimates and proposals.
    16. Maintains a safe work environment.
    17. Working with Project Manager to develop a budget and cost for Task Orders
    18. Meeting with client personnel to present proposals and Task Order updates.
    19. Conferring with supervisory personnel, client representatives, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
    20. Coordinating the acquisition of major materials and monitoring tool and equipment requirements with the TTO Manager and the warehouse.
    21. Overall financial management of the project (s).Assuring a timely completion of a project including the completion of punch-list items, the submittal of accurate as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and the completion of all training and other administrative requirements.
    22. Monitoring project progress, preparing routine reports analyzing the accuracy of the budget, schedule, cash flow and manpower forecasts. 
    23. Identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures, quality improvement and incorporating best practices.
    24. Ensuring all safety regulations are adhered to
    25. Estimating and Budgeting which pertains to self-performing, vendors and subcontractors’ activities, financial performance, quality control activities and critical metrics information.
    26. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    1. Engineering/Construction/Business degree or 10 years in construction or O&M Site experience and 3 to 5 years experience managing large complex O&M sites.
    2. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include, but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
    3. Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
    4. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
    5. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
    6. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret.

    Abilities:
