Dean of Medicine manages administrative functions of the college of medical. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Medicine leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Medicine requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Medicine manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Exhibit stellar customer service and professionalism to patients and staff.*
2. Provide leadership in area of assigned responsibility. Build relationships with physicians, providers and all staff to insure physician/provider and employee satisfaction and alignment with the mission, vision, and Core Values. Fosters an environment of teamwork at all levels of the practice.*
3. Plans and directs the policies, objectives and initiatives of office.*
4. Ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.*
5. Assisting the physician owners and CEO with governance and strategic vision.*
6. Implementation of clinical policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all company policies and State/Federal rules and regulations.*
7. Responsible for the short and long-term profitability and growth of the clinic model.*
8. Approve work procedures and standards for the clinic and ensure consistent implementation and enforcement.*
9. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.*
10. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.*
11. Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with the Executive Team as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.*
12. Provides leadership and management ensure that the mission and core values of Well Life are put into practice and sustained.*
13. Establish physician relationships within medical groups including external physicians to assist with the mission of patient centered care.*
14. Drives the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.*
15. Assist Payroll/Billing inquiries as assistance requested and comply with all timelines*
16. Achieves financial objectives by preparing weekly Master Sales Report & Individual Professional Binder/Sales Log/Master Sales Sheet and Key Performance Indicator
17. Assists and participates in outreach and community activities including marketing, projects, lunch-and-learns, etc. as determined by management.
18. Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.*
19. Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.*
20. Collaborates effective with the Executive Team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
21. Motivates and leads a high-performance team, retaining team members and mentoring.*
22. Assist as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the company to meet sales, growth and market share objectives.*
23. Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment with the Clinic and works closely with the Chief Personnel Officer on systemization and accountabilities.*
24. Represents Well Life in a positive light with clients, investors and business partners.*
25. Read and respond to email messages professionally and timely.*

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and an advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, preferably financial operations. An equivalent combination of academic, clinical and operational experience may be considered.
Desired Essential Experience:
Significant experience in healthcare administration/management with experience in finance and clinic operations
Strong business development and community-based relationship building skills and experience
Demonstration of strong skills in strategic management, revenue cycle management and clinical management
Proven success in developing staff and relationships within the medical community
