Central Input Pharmacy Technician (TX)

Reports to: Central Input Staff Pharmacist

As the gatekeeper of the Big Country Proven Process, you are the point of entry for every Big Country Dermatology Pharmacy prescription. Your first priority is preventing a bottleneck of inbound prescriptions by streamlining input across all Big Country locations. Like a surgeon, you are laser focused on accuracy and attention to detail. You have developed a strong understanding of our drug formulary and insurance/rebates process resulting in minimal errors.

You are a fit for this position because you:

• Can type an average of 35-40 scripts per hour (about 300 per day)
• Pay attention to detail. You make less than 10 major errors per day and less than 20 minor errors per day.
• Can stay focused and self-disciplined
• Can type all types of prescriptions in order of priority
• Can sit for over 6 hours per day
• Are able to function in environments with minimal social interaction

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Current Texas Pharmacy Technician license/certification
• Pharmacy Technician Data Input Experience: 1 year minimum
• Experience processing insurance

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 - 6:00 with a 1/2 day off during the week

Pay:

$18 - $23/hr.
