Dean of Pharmacy manages administrative functions of the college of pharmacy. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Pharmacy leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Pharmacy requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Pharmacy manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Overview
Tom's Family Pharmacy is locally owned and operated that offers a full line of prescription products. We pride ourselves in service to the customer and making every customer smile. The Pharmacy Technician will provide friendly, quick and respectful service to each customer. We are looking for a skilled individual who is knowledgeable and professional.
Duties
- Prepare and dispense medication under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription information
- Assist in inventory management and medication ordering
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of medications to accurately communicate with healthcare providers
- Maintain Pharmacy presentation by ensuring OTC shelves are full and both Pharmacy and OTC shelves are clean.
- Answer phone calls, wait on customers that walk in as well as the drive up window; input prescriptions, count and verify medications before giving them to the Pharmacist.
-Deliver prescriptions to patients homes and place of business on an as needed basis
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Pioneer Rx preferred, but not required
