DEAN OF STUDENTS – MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL

I. Certification: Valid Indiana Teacher License required

Administrative Classes and/or license preferred

II. Dean of Students will primarily address discipline issues, supervise extra-curricular activities, be responsible for screening and recommending substitute teachers, and any other duty assigned by the supervising principals.

III. Desired Qualifications

  Special training in or strong knowledge of effective administrative strategies in the following areas.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with students, staff, parents, and community to achieve educational goals.
• Ability to assume the responsibility of discipline and attendance problems, including the determination and assignment of appropriate corrective action.
• Ability to advise on all matters relating to the operation, direction, and control of the school.
• Available to supervise extra-curricular activities.
• Ability to function as a team member and a team leader
