Dean of Students jobs in Honolulu, HI

• Manage the Dean's schedule and coordinate meetings, logistics, agendas, and minutes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on matters pertaining to the Office of the Dean of Students.
• Oversee specific projects and events related to student affairs as directed by the Dean.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Prioritize emails and respond when necessary.
• Maintain various records and documents for the Dean of Students.
• Determine priority of matters of attention for the Dean of Students; redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate.

• Administer and manage the school’s detention program, including scheduling and communication with students and teachers.
• Cross-train in other main office roles, including mastering the Veracross system for attendance tracking and handling the main office telephone duties.
• Manage and coordinate the main office display case schedule, ensuring timely participant reminders and maintaining a consistently full and appropriate display
• Other job responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Students.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Basic understanding of frequently used computer programs, such as Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with students or young adults is essential.

• Adaptability, initiative, and a consistent track record of reliable follow-through.
• Integrity and ethical conduct are fundamental to this role.
• Outstanding organizational skills are required to ensure consistent focus on priorities.
