Ensures the delivery of effective and quality service to students in the following areas: student housing, counseling, student conduct, and orientation. Being a Dean of Students counsels the top management regarding overall student morale and services. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Dean of Students typically reports to top management. The Dean of Students manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Lacordaire Academy, a Catholic independent PreK to 12 school, is currently seeking a full-time
all academy Dean of Students for the 2024-2025 school year for our Lower, Middle, and Upper
School. The Dean of Students role is a 12 month administrative position.
The role of Dean of Students is to create a school environment in which all students feel
connected to and supportive of each other, and to assist them in achieving the fullest benefits
from the Academy’s programs, services, and offerings. Additionally, the Dean of Students is
responsible for overseeing the conduct of students and developing policy and procedures with
regard to discipline to ensure a positive, productive, and safe learning environment.
