Elizabethtown College (in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania) seeks an accomplished, student-centered, and resourceful leader to serve as Dean, School of Sciences and Health, which has been newly configured, beginning July 1, 2024. Working with strong faculty and institutional leadership, the successful Dean will build on existing strength of departments and programs within the School to enhance visibility; collaboration and coordination between its programs; and student and faculty recruitment, retention, and success. The position provides an opportunity to support the College’s commitment to “Educate for Service,” with emphasis on relationship-centered and experiential learning inside the classroom, research, and clinical laboratories, and in partnership with community organizations through internships, placements, and community-based learning experiences.
Preparing graduates to improve health and well-being of people, animals, and the environment, the School of Sciences and Health, comprised of seven academic units, is home to 780 students and 41 full time faculty. The School offers pathways in:
