Dean of Undergraduate Programs manages administrative functions of the undergraduate program. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Undergraduate Programs leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Undergraduate Programs requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Undergraduate Programs manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry duties as assigned. Carpentry services include, but are not limited to, the design. construction, installation and repair of wooden fixtures and structures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques, and other custom wood products. Other duties include, but are not limited to, framing and finish work, painting, staining, installing ceiling tile grids, installing commercial style carpet tiles etc.Monitors subcontractor performance as assigned, conducts jobsite troubleshooting and performs primary project layout and carpentry production.

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED with minimum two (2) to four (4) years experience.
    • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings as well as follow, and enforce safety procedures.
    • Ability to construct metal framing partition walls, to include drywall finishing and painting to a level 5 finish.
    • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
    • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
    • Records maintenance skills.
    • Clearable US Citizen with ability to obtain & maintain Top Secret (TS), Active Secret preferred.

    Abilities:

    • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time
    • Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance
    • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders
    • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis
    • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English
    • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools
    • Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
    • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
    • Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
    • See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
    • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
