Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Operations, the Decision Support Analyst position develops and interprets complex financial analyses and reports used by management in decision-making. The position is responsible for preparing analysis for the support of budgeting/ long range planning, business plan development (proforma, retrospective analyses), service line reporting, revenue, and reimbursement analyses, as well as the ad hoc reporting needs of management. The role requires performing extensive data mining and abstracting of financial and clinical information from various sources to analyze and interpret data to support organizational decision-making and strategic planning.
The Decision Support Analyst will serve as a liaison to operationally support and link areas such as Finance, Administration and Operations. This role serves as an expert in Decision Support and Cost Accounting, understanding the flow of data from financial systems and patient encounter records and the interrelationship of data from these different systems.
