    Job Summary and Qualifications

    In collaboration with the DSS Director and facility administrators, the Decision Support Coordinator will act as a strategic informational resource for hospitals by providing ongoing reporting and analysis. The Coordinator will support multiple hospitals simultaneously and provide the needed information to customers in a timely manner. Ongoing reporting will focus primarily on operational and volume information by looking at various metrics in the hospital. The Coordinator will also be responsible to develop, maintain and edit current PowerBi dashboard using PowerBi services including Powerbi Pro, Power Querry, PowerBi App, DAX while connecting to SQL server. Provide resource utilization reporting to analyze expense management. This role will be responsible for providing hospitals with information about their competitive position in their respective communities compared to other service providers. In addition to diverse reporting responsibilities, the Coordinator will also train, develop, and mentor DSS Analysts to attain the same level of technical proficiency, analytical competency, and customer service delivery.

    Additional Job Functions:

    • Develops and maintains Power Bi dashboards.
    • Knowledge of SQL, OLAP.
    • Be able to write basic SQL scripts.
    • Creates spreadsheets for project analysis using reports generated from Cost Accounting, Business Objects, OLAP Cubes, SQL server and other source systems as needed with data manipulation in Excels, DSS Cube, etc.
    • Understanding of health care coding terminology, managed care contract structure and hospital computer systems (Meditech, HOST, Business Objects, Patient Accounting).
    • Creates quarterly Market Product Line Profitability Analysis (with direction from the Director).
    • Creates Volume & Demographic analysis focusing on growth & development utilizing MS Maptitude, Stratasan (or other state organizations) and other DSS tools.
    • Maintain and email daily reports

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting , Healthcare Administration or Business related field from an accredited college or university.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerBi, Power Pivots, Power querry, DAX, & knowledge of SQL.
    • Two (2) years experience in a healthcare business office or equivalent DSS related work.
    • Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
    • ADS and BOBJ experience is preferred
