Relating to their supported application(s) and for all UF Health locations, the Enterprise Epic Training Specialist - Level 2 participates in new and ongoing training projects; assists in coordinating and providing Epic training for upgrades, new projects and new users; and provides ongoing support and education, such as developing curriculums, collaborating with the ITS Epic clinical and business analyst teams and end-users and helping guide efficient and effective training by credentialed trainers and super users. The training specialist must have a working understanding of Epic system functionality and/or departmental workflows as they relate to the supported Epic application(s). The training specialist must have strong planning, communication and relationship skills and maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer needs. The training specialist primarily supports one service area/location, though they may be required to support the application(s) at any UF Health location based on need and as assigned by their manager.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• An associate's degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college/university plus three years of relevant work experience required. However, an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher may be substituted for experience.
  • Examples of relevant work experience include one or a combination of the following: health care experience, EMR system experience (Epic preferred, with certification(s) in a data model and business intelligence developer track), training and education development, project management, programming/coding, technical problem solving and system implementation coordination.
• Must have knowledge of and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets and databases).
• Must have strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written) and demonstrated cross-team collaboration.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

• Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver."

Licensure/Certification/Registration::

• Epic-certified trainer status to include application curriculum certification within six months of hire or transfer into role.
• Epic-credentialed trainer status with five years of application training experience may substitute for Epic-certified trainer status.
