Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. To be a Decision Support Project Specialist typically requires 7+ years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

SENIOR DECISION SUPPORT ANALYST II
About the Position: Responsible for overseeing the general administration of specific departmental, interagency, or grant-funded initiatives, such as Medicaid data analysis, assessments of mental health or substance abuse needs, surveys pertaining to domestic violence, substance abuse, or mental health services consumers, or evaluations of children’s systems of care. The individual in this role must effectively communicate project objectives to various stakeholders, including subcontractors, departmental administrative personnel, legislators, federal project officers, and other relevant groups. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of each project phase to the supervising Decision Support Manager is also part of the incumbent's responsibilities, adhering to the established schedule outlined in the project timetable or Gantt chart.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
A Master's degree, to include 12 semester hours in statistics, research methods, or program evaluationANDten (10) years of database management and related experience in public health, social science or statisticsORcompletion of doctoral degree, to include 12 semester hours in statistics, research methods, or program evaluation or, equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience for six (6) semester hours of education.
NOTE: Course work only involving statistics incidentally will not be considered qualifying.
Special Requirements:- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license
